Why we built itЧому ми його зробили

The College Board gives every student a Question Bank with thousands of real, retired SAT and PSAT questions, free. It also gives you four practice tests in Bluebook. What it does not give you is a way to practise the Question Bank like a test — the export is a PDF, and a PDF cannot time you, grade you, remember what you got wrong, or bring a question back three weeks later.College Board дає кожному студентові Question Bank із тисячами справжніх питань SAT і PSAT минулих років — безкоштовно. So students do one of two things. They print the PDF and work through it with a pen, losing the timing, the interface and the record of what they have already seen. Or they pay for a preparation platform — which usually means a subscription, an account, a working card, and a stable connection. For a student in Ukraine, any one of those four can be the thing that stops them.Тому студенти роблять одне з двох. This app is the third option. You export the questions once, drag the PDF onto the window, and from then on the bank is yours: timed like the real thing, graded honestly, and organised around the questions you keep getting wrong. It reads the PDF properlyВін читає PDF як слід

Question ID, assessment, domain, skill, difficulty, the question, the four choices, the correct answer and the College Board's own explanation — all recovered from the export's fixed layout. Underlined words stay underlined, because “the underlined sentence” is unanswerable without them. Data tables stay tables, because those questions ask you to read a value out of a column.ID питання, тип тесту, домен, навичка, складність, саме питання, чотири варіанти, правильна відповідь і пояснення від College Board — усе відновлюється з фіксованої структури експорту. Only the picture is a picture. Maths and figures are drawn as vector art in these exports rather than written as text, so the app renders exactly those regions from the original PDF at high resolution — and leaves everything that is really text as text, so it stays selectable, resizable and highlightable.Малюнком залишається лише малюнок. Split passage and question panes with a divider you can drag, the question badge, Mark for Review, the answer eliminator, the question navigator, a clock you can hide, the practice-test banner, and the Math reference sheet one click away. Progress is kept per question, so a thousand-question bank can be worked through a bit at a time. A question you get wrong comes back tomorrow; one you keep getting right returns after 3, 7, 16, then 35 days. The Statistics tab ranks every skill worst-first with the attempt count beside each percentage, and keeps skills you have not attempted enough of in a separate list rather than giving them a meaningless number. It builds vocabulary out of your own questionsВін будує словник із ваших власних питань

The explanations in a College Board export define the words they test — “Proficient” means “skilled” — so the app reads them out and hands you a deck with the meanings already written, including the meanings of the three wrong answers, which is where most of the vocabulary actually lives. The whole interface, switched in Settings, the same way this website does it — with counted nouns declined properly (1 картка, 2 картки, 5 карток) rather than borrowed from English's two forms. With enough of both sections in one set: 27 Reading and Writing questions in 32 minutes, another 27, a 10-minute break, then 22 Math in 35 and another 22. Nothing in these three steps is waiting on release — this is how the app already works for the people testing it.     Sign in to your free College Board account and open the SAT Suite Question Bank. Choose the assessment (SAT, PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10), the section, and any domains, skills or difficulties you want. Tick the questions, then choose Export and pick the PDF that includes the answers and explanations — the app needs those.     macOS will be a single native app: unzip it, drag USUFU SAT Prep into Applications, then open Terminal once and paste xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/USUFU SAT Prep.app" and press Return. macOS quarantines anything downloaded from the internet, and the app is signed locally rather than by Apple — that needs a paid developer account we have not bought.     Windows and Linux get a build that mirrors the macOS one screen for screen. You install Python if you do not have it, ticking Add Python to PATH during setup — any version from 3.9 up — then unzip and double-click run.bat, or ./run.sh on Linux. An app a student sits a two-hour timed test in is not something to hand out half-finished. macOS 13 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel, as a native app with no dependencies. Windows and Linux through a build that mirrors it screen for screen and needs Python 3.9 or later. Neither needs a graphics card, much memory, or an internet connection. A student preparing for the SAT or PSAT without a tutor, a prep course, or reliable power — which is most of the students we hear from. That is why it works offline, why the interface is in Ukrainian as well as English, and why it will never need an account. It is not only for Ukrainian students; it is only designed around them, and everyone else is welcome to it.Для студента, який готується до SAT чи PSAT без репетитора, курсів і стабільного світла — а це більшість тих, хто нам пише. Where your work will liveДе зберігатиметься ваша робота

Everything the app makes — the questions it read, the images it rendered, what you have seen, how you did, your highlights, notes, study plans and flashcard decks — is written to a folder on your own computer and nowhere else. There is no server, no account, no analytics, and no network request of any kind. Deleting a question set removes only those files; your original PDFs are never touched. That is not a promise about a future version — it is how the build in these screenshots already works, and there is nothing in it that could be changed later without changing the app itself.Усе, що створює застосунок — зчитані питання, відтворені зображення, те, що ви бачили, ваші результати, підсвічування, нотатки, плани навчання й колоди карток — записується в теку на вашому власному комп’ютері й більше нікуди. Send us one line saying which computer you use and we will write to you when the build is public. We do not run a mailing list, so it is a person answering a message rather than a subscription — and your address is used for that and nothing else. We are not going to give you a date we cannot keep. What we can tell you honestly is where it is: the app is built, it is being used every day by the people testing it, and what is left is the unglamorous part — running it against more question banks, on more machines, and fixing what that finds. No, and it never will. It ships with no questions at all. You export them yourself from the College Board's own Question Bank, which is free with any College Board account, and the app reads that file. USUFU is an independent educational initiative and this app exists because the free question bank deserved a free way to practise from it. No, and that is on purpose. A score on the real SAT depends on the adaptive routing and the equating of the specific form you sat, neither of which a question bank can reproduce honestly. The app reports what it can measure — how many you got right, on which skills, at which difficulty, at what pace — and leaves score prediction to the official practice tests in Bluebook.Ні, і це свідомо. Yes. PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 10 exports import exactly the same way and run at the same pace, because the digital PSAT has the SAT's module structure. You can keep them in separate sets or mix them, and narrow any sitting to one assessment.Так. Probably. The macOS build is a native app with no dependencies and needs macOS 13 or later. The Windows and Linux build needs Python 3.9 or later and two libraries it installs itself. Neither needs a graphics card, an internet connection, or much memory — the heaviest thing either does is read your PDF once, which takes a few seconds.Найімовірніше, так. Flashcard decks are the same file format on both builds, so a deck can be copied across directly. Question sets keep their libraries separately, since each build stores data in its own platform's location — but the exported review PDF carries the question data and images inside it and can be dragged into either build, on any machine.Колоди карток мають однаковий формат файлу в обох збірках, тож колоду можна скопіювати напряму. Write to us through the contact page and say which build you are on, what you were doing, and — if it is an import problem — which assessment and section the export came from.
